Why Barack is the Better Choice for Online Casinos
This site is certainly not a place to come for stimulating analysis on US
politics – head over to CNN for that. But in terms of all things related to the
online casino gambling industry, GambleCraft is firm in the notion that Barack
Obama is the better choice for those hoping that the new president will
implement changes in the current US offshore internet gambling policy. Now,
there is certainly every reason that you should trust GambleCraft on this
decision, but for the skeptics out there, the PPA and industry lawyers have also
noted that Obama is more likely to offer up legislation that supports the online
casino gambling industry than McCain based on a look at their parties’ platforms
and past stance on the issue.
The Bush administration has fairly consistently blocked any attempts by members
of Congress of foreign countries to alter the unfavorable online casino gambling
legislation, but with a month until the presidential elections, there is no
containing the excitement in the industry that a new president in office could
greatly alter the current state of internet gambling. Some of those credible
sources supporting Obama include the Poker Players Alliance. The PPA is a group
of members supporting the re-legalization of offshore online casinos and
internet poker sites. The PPA believes that the democratic platform is more
supportive of gambling in general, and while Obama has not out-right supported
the legalization and regulation of online gambling, he is an avid poker player
himself.
On the other hand, the Republican Platform Committee has specific wording that
notes that the Republican party will not support new legislation for the online
caisno gambling industry. This makes the choice clear for those one-issue voters
specifically looking to alter the current US gambling legislation.
