Very Little Security Threat
The time when e-commerce was questioned for its safety concerns is coming to a
close and the Remote Gambling Association (RGA) has released a statement of
assurance for online casinos gamblers that the industry is in fact secure. There
was time when online gambling was so new that gamblers questioned the security
of processing financial transactions trough the Web, but that time has passed
and e-commerce in many forms is more secure than ever before. In fact, online
casino gambling site internationally are beginning to conform to the eGaps,
which is a set of minimum standards for the industry concerning policies and
responsible gambling practices.
The RGA’s latest statement was directly aimed at those gamblers who are still
avoiding the online casinos gambling industry for fear of financial safety.
While there are no guarantees in any industry, the RGA noted that there are “no
security problems that people choosing to gamble online need to be concerned
about.” Brian Wright, the Business Director at the RGA commented in the company
statement about changing online casino gambling perceptions, noting “While it
was all being built up and becoming established there was a perception that
people weren't familiar with it and didn't really have the confidence to bet
online, but I think customers now realise that it is such a safe form of
gambling.”
Additionally, anti-fraud companies like Ethoca and others are making online
casino gambling safe by using community based fraud management systems. As more
gambling companies choose the these community anti-fraud companies, they link
their information and even further protect players from any negative financial
consequences. And it goes without saying though that online casino gamblers
should research a gambling site and ensure its credibility before choosing to
gamble at the site. |
