Odds Are Getting Better
Looking for a prize package to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) next month?
Well, so isn’t the rest of the land and online casinos gambling industry…or at
least they were. The Bodog gambling group has announced that a player’s chances
of winning one of the site’s six weekly prize package giveaways is getting
better and better. Bodog has earmarked certain weekly online casinos poker
tournaments as a chance for gamblers to win a seat to the WSOP – but the number
of entrants in the Sunday tournament, which offers two of the six seats weekly,
has been steadily declining, which means that players willing to pony up the
buy-in have a good chance of winning.
Bodog is a respected online casinos gambling company operating all over the
world, but notably is one of the top sites operating in the U.S. gambling
market. The Sunday tournament that rewards the winner with a prize package worth
$12,000 and a seat at the 2008 WSOP event in Las Vegas has a relatively low
buy-in of only $250. That is pretty low considering the potentional to make it
to Vegas and compete with the best known land and online casinos poker pros in
the world.
And beyond just the low $250 buy-in, what’s surprising is that online casinos
players are not flocking to the satellite tournaments, where they can win a seat
at the Sunday tournament for much less than the $250 buy-in. With all of these
ways to win a seat at the Sunday tourney, it leaves some in the online casino
gambling industry scratching their heads about why the event is only drawing in
66 entrants. Whatever the reason, the low number of entrants increases a players
odds of winning one of the two seats, so it looks like now is the perfect time
for online gamblers to head over to the Bodog poker rooms if they have their
hopes set on the WSOP. |
