Integrated Win is Lucrative
Land and online casino poker tournaments can be very lucrative in their own
rights. Land poker tournaments have been around for decades and online casinos
are a growing trend. The fact is though, based off of the recent 888.com land
and internet tournament just last week, the combination of the two tournament
structures can lead to a very lucrative payday. The World Poker Crown event
crowned a Canadian player, Jack Hinchey, as the top player in the world. Hinchey
traveled to Barcelona to compete in the final table of the event and competed
against some huge competition from the land and online casinos gambling
industry.
The final table event of the World Poker Crown was one of the few actual land
poker portions of the event, other parts of the tournament took place at the
online casinos – specifically at the Pacific Poker.com gambling site. Pacific
Poker not only hosted the early stages of the competition, but also ran a live
Web cast of the heated final table event in Barcelona.
Those attending the final table in Barcelona came from all over the world though
mainly from Canada and Europe. They players participating in the final table
also represent some of the best talent in the land and online casinos gambling
industries. At the final table were: Jack Hinchey (the chip leader), Mark
Castonguy, Bert van Doesburg, Arjan van Bavel, Piotr Stanislaw, Bart Wetsteijn,
Mark Roessler, and Michael Lawson.
Hinchey took the win, leaving Michael Lawson taking home the second place
winnings. The prize pool for the WPC was actually enormous, and Hinchey took
home $1 million in winnings. |
