Giga Media Integrating Brands
Between the success of the online casinos gambling industry and internet poker,
the relatively new site, Everest Poker has turned in a great first quarter of
the year. The parent company for Everest Poker, GigaMedia, has announced that
all of the company’s products are performing well. Going forward from here
though, with the Everest Poker brand gaining notability and profitability, Giga
has plans to use the success of one brand to boost other products and services
offered through the company and involving the online casinos gambling industry.
GigaMedia is based out of Taiwan and just recently released the company’s
reports for Q1 – cross branding and integration are key to the success of many
of GigaMedia’s products. The Everest Poker brand is currently a sponsor for the
World Series of Poker in Las Vegas this summer. The sponsorship will go a long
way toward promoting the online casinos poker site and bringing in more
players…particularly if any of the Everest Poker sponsored players turn in
impressive performances at the main event.
Beyond the WSOP though, Everest Poker showed an 11 percent increase in revenues
which brought the specific online casinos poker revenues to $29.7 million. That
is just the poker gambling sector of GigaMedia though, the company’s gaming
software actually turned out impressive most impressive first quarter results.
The company’s online gaming software revenue came in at $38.3 million – that is
a giant increase in revenue, 46 percent.
Cross marketing is the way that the GigaMedia online casinos gambling group is
able to maintain the impressive quarterly profits. The internet poker gambling
industry can fluctuate seasonally as can internet casino gambling, but by
diversifying interests and cross-marketing products, Giga Media is able to
constantly produce impressive quarterly results that do not show the slump that
is so often found in companies that operate within one sector of the internet
gambling industry.
