New CFO for Online Casinos Company
Unibet has announced that the current Chief Financial Officer will be moving on
at the end of this month. The current CFO, Ragnar Hellenius, will have been with
the online casinos gambling company for a year at this end of the month, but
Unibet announced he will be succeeded with another member of the Unibet team,
Henrik Tjärnström. Hellenius’ term as CFO began in March 2007 and has aided the
company in several major acquisitions. The online casinos company though has
many plans for the 2008 year, and Tjärnström has enough previous experience with
Unibet to easily and effectively step into the position as CFO.
The incoming CFO, Tjärnström has been with the online casino gambling and
betting company in some capacity for several years. He started as a board member
at the Unibet in 2003, then moved up to the audit committee the following year.
He will begin as CFO in a matter of weeks at this point, and the CEO of the
online casinos gambling and betting company, Petter Nylander has expressed both
a vote of confidence in Tjärnström ability to lead the company’s finances while
expressing gratitude for Hellenius’ contributions over the past year.
As for where the company is specifically headed in the next two years, CEO
Nylander, remarked on Unibet’s focus for the coming years. He comments, "We are
on track with our financial targets for 2010 and will continue the organic
growth strategy with focus on maximizing profits. The company will not focus on
any major acquisitions but potentially minor deals in the short term future."
Unibet has performed well in the past year and has benefitted from the growing
online gambling industry in Europe. |
