As for expansions into the online casinos gambling industry – if Cantor Gaming is successful in testing the product with land gambling facilities like the upcoming Las Vegas Sands, then it could give the product a boost into the internet gambling industry. Cantor Gaming has spent months overcoming some more political aspects of using the new technology at the land and online casinos, but after lobbying efforts the company is preparing for product field testing. The idea of hand-held betting is particularly attractive for land casinos and racetracks because an increased opportunity for gamblers to spend money at the casinos means increases in revenue. In theory, gamblers would be able to use the new niche-market technology while lounging at the pool, or even from their hotel rooms – the handheld device would work anywhere on the casino’s property.
