The domain name is surprisingly simple, Casino.de – which is probably why Balslev was willing to pay such a high price for it. And though some in the online casinos gambling industry are skeptical that the domain name was worth that much, Balslev notes that the domain is so simple that it will expand the company’s ability to effectively advertise and generate unsolicited visitors.

The CEO at Balslev Media, Jan Balslev, commented on why the domain name would be used as an information site. Balslev remarks, "The last thing an online player needs is to be making an additional bet on whether the chosen gambling website is fair and pays its obligations. The lack of international regulation in the industry has created a real need for independent information, and Casino.de will be used to provide that to the player community. As with all internet commerce, trust is essential."
