There is no doubting that the Asian internet gaming industry is seeing growth – just look at the fourth quarter results for GigaMedia Ltd. Giga is based out of Taiwan and not only creates games for the Asian gaming industry, but has also successfully expanded into the European and international online casinos gambling industry. Giga has several prominent subsidiaries and divisions of the company that performed better than most industry analysts predicted; which just goes to show that the forecasts of a growing Asian online casinos gambling industry are in fact true.

Giga’s fourth quarter results indicated that the online casinos gambling company is performing well in all of the sectors of the industry that it is currently involved in – from Asian games to land and internet poker, Giga is performing strongly. Giga’s net revenue rose 8 percent in the fourth quarter, to $10.7 million. And it is important to note that this is not the company’s year-end report, but fourth-quarter results. The online casinos gambling company’s year-end report will be released in the coming months. Important to note though is that Giga anticipates a sharp upturn in profits and revenues in 2008 – this is when the company will start to see results from strategic partnerships that were cultivated in the past year.

At the top of the list for prominent partnerships is the deal between Giga’s online casino poker subsidiary Everest Poker.com and the World Series of Poker. The affiliation with the WSOP is expected to really grow brand recognition and significantly boost the company’s revenues in this sector of the industry. Giga also develops internet gambling and Asian gaming software – revenue from these offerings is expected to rise as well.
