Strengthening the Board

Betsafe has announced that the 2008 year could see as many as three new Board of Directors for the online casino gambling site. Johan Kinnander was just appointed to the board last week, and will lend his extensive expertise in the internet marketing industry to the company as it continues to grow into the Scandinavian market. Betsafe has currently has a large share of the Scandinavian gamblers, but more online casino gambling marketing expertise will go a long way toward making the company truly competitive as more internet gambling companies begin to compete for that specific market.

The European online casino gambling market is tricky because of the current fight to eliminate protectionist gambling monopolies in a dozen of the 27 EU member-states. Betsafe is one of a number of European and Malta licensed online casinos looking to take advantage of the booming growth in the industry. As the European Commission negotiates to end the monopolies, Betsafe and other companies are boosting their foundation and looking to fully saturate the European gaming and betting market in the coming year.

Kinnander is the CEO at Glife AB and will also serve on the Betsafe Board of Directors. He is an acknowledged online casino industry veteran and his support will boost the company’s presence in the European gambling and betting market. Kinnander comments, "I believe that Betsafe's business will increase extensively in the coming years and I hope I can contribute with my knowledge and network to help them make this trip as smooth as possible." As for the two other additions, Betsafe anticipates announcing the new board members in the latter half of the year.
