Announcing an Online Casino Hosting Facility
You may not be able to gamble at the online casinos in the Philippines, but a
new project announcement may very well bring a hosting service to the
Philippines that would serve as a launching point for internet gambling
companies with an interest in the Asian-Pacific gambling industry. Two
companies, First Cagayan Leisure and Resort Corp (FCLRC) and a subsidiary of the
IPVG Corporation, IP-Converge, are partnering up on this latest venture and plan
to build and develop and online gambling hosting service out of Manila. The
Asian internet gambling industry is really beginning to surge, with more Asian
themed and targeted online casinos launching every month.
There are still many Asian regions and nations that prohibit online casino
gambling, so while that is a challenging to actually growing the Asian internet
gambling industry, the two companies believe that the hosting services will
provide foreign gambling companies an in into the Asian market or at least a
launching point.
The Philippines currently prohibits internet gambling, but hosting other online
casinos and funneling traffic into the Asian industry could prove very lucrative
for the two companies. The VP at FCLRC, Rene Nunez succinctly summarized the new
venture: We manage the IP traffic. The Philippine government is increasingly
looking to slowly enter the land and online casino gambling industry, and this
new venture is a strong first step into the industry.
Other plans that are currently in speculation for the Philippines include a land
casino gambling resort in Manila Bay designed to pull some of the traffic of
gamblers currently gambling in Macau. The Asian gambling industry has the
potential to seriously grow in the coming years, the Philippines is designing
itself to become a centralized country that would benefit from gaming revenues
without actually legalizing online casino gambling in the country. |
