It's Absolute All Over Again
The Ultimate Bet online casino gambling debacle could be coming to a close now
that the parent company of the site, Tokwiro Enterprises, has released an
official statement regarding the issue. The statement notes that the company has
been investigating the issue over the past six months even though many players
in the industry were beginning to express extreme concern over Tokwiro’s lack of
communication with online casino players. According to the statement released on
the Ultimate Bet issue, it looks as though this new cheating scandal is nearly
identical to last year’s Absolute Poker cheating scandal which rocked the online
gambling industry to the core.
Both of these online casino poker gambling sites have now been victim to a
company employee exploiting a loophole in the game coding. What’s alarming
though is that the two companies are owned by Tokwiro Enterprises and both are
licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. The situation comes down to the
fact that one unnamed company employee (who was with Ultimate Bet before Tokwiro
bough the company is 2006) exploited the code in the online casino poker gaming
software so that the employee could gamble in high stakes poker games with the
advantage of seeing all of the other players’ hole cards.
The statement notes though that this coding problem is no longer a concern for
gamblers at the company’s online casinos and poker rooms. The statement
elaborated on the issue, "Our investigation has confirmed that the code was part
of a legacy auditing system that was manipulated by the perpetrators. Gaming
Associates, independent auditors hired by the KGC, have confirmed that the
software code that provided the unfair advantage has been permanently removed."
The statement went on to note that Tokwiro, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and
the independent auditing company Gaming Associates (the company also
investigated the Absolute Poker cheating scandal) all worked together to
complete a “thorough investigation” and a “comprehensive review of hand
histories and game data” so that all online gamblers affected by the cheating
situation will be properly compensated. |
