Who Makes the Roundup?
Online poker gambling has really surged in the several years because of not only
the popularity of televised events such as the annual World Series of Poker
event in Las Vegas but also new innovations for the internet gaming sector.
Online casinos hit the market just a decade ago, and while the popularity of
traditional internet gambling is skyrocketing in many developed and emerging
markets, poker is seeing huge surges just recently. PokerListings.com announced
the summer results for top gambling sites – and some surprising online casino
poker sites made the top ten list.
The top contender on the list of popular online casino poker gambling sites
hasn’t changed – PokerStars.com placed first and maintains a firm lead over the
rest of the sites competing for poker gamblers. PokerListings.com rates the site
by the average number of simultaneous daily poker gamblers, and based off of the
site’s 12,856 daily players, PokerStars is going to be hard to kick out of the
top spot.
Full Tilt came in second place with a bit more than half the number of daily
poker players compared to PokerStars – 6,774. The top five online casino poker
gambling sites haven’t changed recently, but PokerListings.com announced that a
surprisingly new site is making the top ten. DoylesRoom.com hasn’t been around
nearly as long as the top five online casino poker sites, but backed by the star
power of poker professional Doyle Brunson, the site has seen record growth.
The international online casino gambling industry is experiencing extreme growth
all over the world and new prospects in Asia have really allowed internet poker
sites to flourish. |
