It's Partly Over
The year has reached the half-way point and online casinos and gambling
companies are beginning to release both their second quarter and half-year
reports. Gaming VC performed right in line, and even a bit above, industry and
company expectations thanks to a strengthening online casino gambling industry.
Gaming VC operates some top betting, poker, and casino brands for the European
gaming market. And though Gaming VC is still a slow growing business the company
was able to increase the number of new registered accounts as well as an
increase in total gaming revenues fro the company this is largely due to the
overall growth of online casinos in industry throughout the first half of 2008.
Gaming VC specifically operates a several prominent gambling brands everything
from Betland to Poker Kings as well as a few online casinos. Like other
companies in the industry, Gaming VCs report indicated that the poker and
betting sites performed right in line with expectations while the revenue from
the online casino gambling brands increased 15 percent in the first half of the
year.
The online casinos anticipated lower revenues for the first half of the year
because of the intense interest in betting on the 2008 European Football
Championships poker gambling sites also predicted a loss in revenues for that
period of time. But the online gambling and poker industries are actually still
in a rapid expansion phase and Gaming VC was able to turn over profit and
revenue for the half-year in addition to even netting some needed revenue. |
