Online Casino Brands Causing Confusion
Internet gamblers are a bit confused this week as their inboxes have been
flooded with announcements of new online casinos and gambling brands. This comes
at a time when several prominent internet gambling brands were shut down last
week in the wake of Warren Cloud’s death. Cloud owned and operate a slew of
online casino brands all operating on the Real Time Gaming platform. RTG is a
respected software development company in the industry and players are simply
confused at all of the confusion surrounding Cloud’s gambling brands and the
newly launched casinos.
Cloud was notorious in the online casino gambling industry for his tactics and
previously shady practices within the South African gambling market. But when he
launched his RTG powered brands for the international gambling market, players
were willing to give the legitimate sites a chance over the past several years.
But with the announcement of Cloud’s death came the abrupt closure of some of
his most popular and respected gambling sites. And while the closure of the
sites was enough to cause alarm in the online casino gambling industry, the rash
of new sites is causing even more concern.
Internet gamblers with player accounts at some of Cloud’s now closed online
casinos have reported that their inboxes have been flooded with offers for
signup incentives at some newly launched sites. The troubling part though is the
implication in some of the offers that players are “revisiting” these new sites
– some wonder if Cloud’s gambling brands breached contracts with players to
illegally sell off account information to the new casinos.
There are no forthcoming answers yet from the online casinos in question or from
Real Time Gaming so it is truly a wait and see situation. |
