Who Needs Online Casinos?
As U.S. players become more accustomed to a lifestyle without online casino
gambling (it has been more than a year now since the internet gambling ban), the
worldwide community has begun to offer some pretty interesting skill and
free-money gaming options. Facebook is a social networking site that has grown
in popularity significantly over the past year, and has now begun to offer
gaming options to users in the form of third party applications. And though it
doesn’t take the place of online casinos gambling, it is certainly is one way to
fill the time.
The latest third party application to launch on Facebook is a Mahjong
application that also allows English speaking players to also play the
traditional Asian game. Mahjong has been a popular addition to many online
casinos around the globe – an increasing number of players are finding enjoyment
in this extremely popular Asian pastime.
Facebook has 61 million members and is one of the most popular of the social
networking sites (second only to Myspace). Myspace is the site’s direct
competition, but Facebook uniquely offers third party application installations
– which means that you won’t see any online casinos type games on Myspace
anytime soon.
In addition to Mahjong, the World Mahjong Tour, Inc. company will offer players
the chance to also install another popular online casinos style game – Big Two.
The founders of the company are exited to offer the gambling services to a
worldwide audience, David Wang and Pierre Wuu comment, "Both Mahjong and Big Two
are extremely popular Asian games with a massive following worldwide. We plan to
bring and introduce many Asian games to the entire worldwide audience in English
and other languages."
