Full Tilt online poker gambling tournament also generated a bit of interest in the casinos poker industry with 2,252 players entering the competition and contributing to a US $1.126 million dollar prize pool. The top prize paid out to the tournament winner equaled $206,000.

The only other major tournament that occurred over the weekend was at Party Poker.com, an online casinos gambling Web site that has consistently grown in credibility. The site offered a US $347,600 prize pool to 1,735 players. The top player took home US $67,665.
