It's Just Not Normal
Most gamblers dream of hitting the jackpot just once in their lifetime. With
land and online casinos jackpots in the millions, that’s all one would
conceivable really need to get by comfortably for the rest of their life. One
luck land casinos gambler just hit the maximum jackpot at the slots for the
second time in his life – something that just doesn’t happen very often. Elmer
Sherwin, a 92 year old Las Vegas player, won a $21.1 million jackpot last week
at the Megabucks slot machine at the Cannery.
The gambling industry news has certainly reported bigger winnings than the
player’s $21.1 million win – between the online casinos and progressive
jackpots, but this twice in a lifetime just defies the odds. Analysts in the
land and online casinos industry claim that Sherwin overcame odds of 10 million
to one both times that he hit the winning numbers.
He previously took home a jackpot of $4.6 million playing slots at the Mirage in
1989 – which was quite a chunk of change considering the value of the dollar
almost 20 years ago. Sherwin is a regular land gambler – at 92 he hasn’t taken
to the online casinos craze, but he is “glad [he] finally hit” and commented
that he had been “trying to do it again” ever since.
He is walking away now with winnings of $25.7 million just from gambling at the
casinos – and though some would think that winning a second time is enough to
make any player happy, Sherwin commented that he would soon try for a third
jackpot.
