Looking for a job in Australia could very well take seekers to an online casinos gambling site according to information released buy Sydney University. The University noticed that the link for an Asian job search page was actually acting as a portal and redirecting players to a Playtech powered online casinos gambling site. This was certainly not the intent of the link, and as such, Syndey University has fixed the error in the link.

The specific link was found on the University’s Career Centre Web site. The University’s site is designed to aid Australians (and others for that matter) in finding jobs located by in Australia, and in other foreign countries – that’s why the site had a link to a supposed Asian job listing organization.

The University seems to check the links on it’s site on a yearly basis, and when the link was checked last year, it linked to a valid Asian job searching organization. For that reason though, the University does not know precisely how long the link has been functioning as a portal for the online casinos site. “The url for that organisation has obviously changed,” comments a spokesperson for Sydney University. And interestingly enough, the portal linked players to an Italian based Web site that offers a variety of Playtech powered games.

Online casinos sites are constantly using new tactics to bring in new players and access new markets, but even in the internet gambling industry the link as an Asian job search portal is a bit strange.
