Land Casinos Leaving
The Russian government passed some very stringent restrictions on the land
gambling industry in Russia, and although all of the casinos were forced to
comply with new regulations and restrictions on the industry, some are
considering leaving the Russian market and instead embracing markets with more
opportunities for both land and online casinos gambling. Storm International is
one of the more prominent Russian land casino companies that have implemented
plans to operate gambling facilities in both Armenia and Costa Rica.
Right now Storm International plans to continuing operating the handful of
Russian land casinos, but at the same time has initiated building plans for a
land resort and concert gambling facility in Armenia, and a resort land gambling
facility in Costa Rica. Costa Rica is a very prominent location for online
casino gambling companies to base operations because Costa Rica does not get
involved in the least in the morality side of the internet gambling debate
(Costa Rican based gambling companies are able to offer services to U.S.
gamblers.
Many in the industry speculate that Storm International could venture into the
online casinos gambling industry once established in Costa Rica because of the
strong connection. Storm spokespersons have also contended that the company is
looking to gain a presence in the U.S. land (and maybe online) gambling
industry. There is no word yet if Storm has plans to operate land casinos in
other markets besides the three mentioned (Costa Rica, Armenia, and the U.S.)
but it is clear that the company could become a major contender in the world
gambling industry in the near future. |
