A Tired Line
The two cheating scandals at sister sites Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet have
far from died down in the nearly year since the second scandal broke. Recent
media attention and the parent company’s launch of a new online poker network
for the two sites have managed to keep the site in the news for a bit longer
than many anticipated. And beyond that, the online casino gambling industry just
can’t seem to let it rest because of the nonchalance of Tokwiro Enterprises
concerning bringing those responsible for the cheats to justice.
COO of Tokwiro Enterprises, Paul Leggett, recently gave a very impressive
interview with a local online casino information portal. Throughout the
interview his information on the new Cereus Poker Network and attitude about
overcoming the negative reputation the company got because of the cheating
scandal was pleasant enough to not wrinkle any feathers. But when it comes to
talking about bringing justice to the perpetrators of the crime, Leggett issued
the same platitudes and frustratingly empty comments about the situation.
Tokwiro Enterprises, and Leggett most recently, have taken the position that the
Tokwiro and the two online casino poker gambling sites are not responsible for
following up on bringing justice to those who cheated the system and stole
player money. Leggett repeated the tired line that Tokwiro has done nothing to
prosecute those linked to the cheating scandal because, he notes, “We’re simply
not judge and jury.” While Leggett had some very positive information for the
online casino gambling industry about the Cereus Network, the company’s
unforthcoming responses concerning those responsible for the crime are getting
old…and fast. |
