The Digital Revolution
South Africa is the focus of a lot of attention lately. The South African online
casino gambling market is a huge focus for many international internet gambling
markets just biding time until the new regulations and legislation come into
effect in the country. For some companies though, they don’t have to wait for
the new legislation. Ukash is a European facing payment processing company.
Ukash announced that the company is just preparing to launch a full-prepaid
payment system within South Africa as a way to bring this region into the
digital revolution – and down the line perhaps Ukash might begin offering online
casino payment services and profit from being one the first payment processing
companies in the region.
Ukash has announced interest in the South African online market because of the
fact that so many South Africans are “unbanked.” This means that many South
African residents have little to no way to buy goods and services over the
internet. Ukash sees the potential within the market and announced a plan to
offer interested residents prepaid vouchers that act like an electronic check.
With the implementation and legalization of online casinos still a bit of a ways
off in the past Ukash plans to enter the South African market by offering
services that can be used anywhere in the e-market place. This means South
Africans can now purchase these prepaid vouchers to then use them to shop at the
stores or even play at the pending internet casinos should they choose. |
