A Master Plan?
Full Tilt is one of the two most popular online casino poker gambling sites in
the world. The Full Tilt Poker Network is the second largest, only Poker Stars
is larger. New information though has come to light that could provide valuable
insight into Full Tilt’s long term growth strategies – or it could indicate
something else…but what. The online casino gambling industry is shaking its
collective head this week as Nat Arem, associated with exposing the two cheating
scandals at Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, announced that Full Tilt has been
busy this last month with domain name purchases.
Arem, who surely considers himself an informal detective for the online casino
poker gambling industry, used DomainTools.com to figure out that Full Tilt Poker
has registered more than a dozen domain names related to the land and online
poker gambling industries. The domain names are interesting in that many of them
are misspelled variations on already popular internet casino poker gambling
sites or prominent poker gambling personalities. For example, Full Tilt now owns
a variation on the name of its competitor, ansolutepoker.com is only an alphabet
letter away from Absolute Poker.
Other examples include the registering of domain names for popular online poker
gamblers like Sorel Mizzi (sorelmizzi.net), Adam Levy (adamlevypoker.com) and a
slew of similar registrations of either the players name, or the players name
with “poker” added to the end as the domain name.
The question is now, why? Perhaps the online casino poker gambling site is
looking to use these ancillary sites as a way to direct more traffic directly to
the Full Tilt Poker site. |
