Lovin' Land and Online
It doesn’t seem to matter if you’re frequenting the land or the online casinos,
either way poker is growing in popularity and more and more gamblers from all
over the world are showing a keen interest in the game. Poker gambling is unique
from gambling at the land and online casinos because it requires more than dumb
luck to win a hand (and most certainly a tournament). Poker is a skill based
game – this might be the primary reason that the game is so enjoyable to watch
as well as play.
The US has really pioneered the era of poker television shows and televised
poker tournaments. The love of the game has even meant that many online casinos
also stream the content to players all over the world. The latest news out of
the US is that the High Stakes Poker TV series is planned to come back onto the
air this spring on the Gameshow Network. The show apparently appealed to a wide
enough array of land and online poker gambling enthusiasts that it is worthwhile
to film another tournament season.
This season is not for the feint of heart poker gamblers – the $200,000 buy-in
will quickly weed out the amateurs and poker pros like Phil Hellmuth, Tom Dwan,
Doyle Brunson, and a handful of other aces are just some of the names scheduled
to compete in the series. The filming began this month and it is sure to prove a
fantastic season as the gamblers go head-to-ahead against some of the toughest
poker pros in the global land and online poker gambling industries. |
