Preparing for a Fight
The online caisno poker and gambling industry is preparing for a storm now that
60 Minutes program has announced that the special about the two poker scandals
that took place last year are about to air. Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet are
prominent online poker gambling sites – the sister sites are licensed from the
Kahnawake Gaming Commission and owned by Tokwiro Enterprises. These two sites
were involved in what has now become the largest poker cheating scandal in the
history of the online casino gambling industry. 60 Minutes stepped in earlier
this year and began to ask some of the more hard hitting questions that this
expose-format show is known for.
The 60 Minutes program has been rumored to air for the past month, but with the
announcement that Tokwiro Enterprises has briefed all of their employees on the
situation, it seems that the time is pretty close. There is really no indication
at this case as to just how damaging this program may be for the online casino
gambling industry – no one from the industry has seen the final version. Some of
the delays in airing the show were rumored to be as a result of new information
that was released concerning the case just in the past two months – there is now
an alleged culprit for the Ultimate Bet cheating scandal. The program is being
screened at the end of November for a select group of individuals and perhaps
representatives from the online casinos and internet poker sites before it will
actually air for general public.
This program, though potentially seriously damaging for the online casino
gambling industry has been highly requested by the internet poker gambling
industry – the players themselves have demanded answers that Tokwiro has been
unwilling to answer. |
