No More Online Casinos for Cantor
There is a bit of confusion in the online casino gambling industry right now
surrounding Cantor Gaming – the company has shut down its CantorCasino.com site
as well as its RedLoungeCasino.com gambling site. Those two sites are no longer
in operation but the company’s online poker site, Cantor-Poker.com is still
operating. And as if that were not confusing enough, it seems as though Cantor
has suddenly decided that with all of this restructuring the company will now no
longer operate online casinos and rather focus on the software licensing
industry – at least that’s what it seems is happening right now…
Cantor Gaming released a statement along with the closures that noted that the
company has no plans to reopen the online casino gambling sites nor any similar
sites. But to calm any fears, Cantor Gaming (licensed out of Malta), is still a
top notch company and internet gamblers were instructed to contact the company’s
customer service department to arrange the withdrawal of any funds that were
still left in player accounts. Online casinos are dropping right and left with
the threat of a pending recession – but interestingly enough that doesn’t seem
to be the reason for Cantor’s announcement.
Most are now speculating that the abrupt closures have to do with Cantor’s
desire to operate as a software provider for the online casinos rather than
operate the internet gambling sites themselves. The statement was actually
pretty vague and the online gambling industry has some very pressing questions
for the company that have not yet been precisely answered – mostly concerning
which exact divisions of the company will continue to operate. |
