An Online Casino Bust
Online caisno and poker gamblers are simply not to be trifled with if you take
into consideration the latest player-detective work at Zosoz.com. Zosoz launched
in the US market as a subscription poker site that circumvented US laws, was 100
percent US legal, and had only the low monthly subscription rate yet a great
possibility for winnings. The site launched just two months ago…right around the
time that some of the biggest US facing online casinos backed out of the US
market. Zosoz spent a huge effort and expense advertising for the new site and
really attempting to build up a large player-base.
The only problem it seems was the company’s funding capital. Just a few weeks
ago players began to report that checks from Zosoz were bouncing in their banks.
Zosoz apparently attempted to stem the flood of this pending disaster by seeking
additional funding, but to no avail. According to a message on the Web site, the
site was due to be shut down on December 14, 2008. Online casino gamblers have
since reported that the site shut down two days before the official date – that
could be a bit worrisome if the company is really just jumping ship.
Players were guaranteed in the company’s online message that they would receive
new checks for their winnings. That is yet to be seen. The mysterious nature of
Zosoz’s management and owners leaves some in the internet casino industry
concluding that this was yet another fly-by-night operation that has folded with
player monies and few intentions to make good on the payouts. |
