Unibet Loses Out

Unibet and Paddy Power have a large scale rivalry going on in the UK online casino betting and gambling industry – and the last point in the rivalry was scored by Paddy Power. Liverpool FC just announced that the company was going back to Paddy Power for partnership deals related to betting on matches and sporting events in the UK. There is certainly intense competition in the UK market for online casino betting partnerships since two giants in the industry, Will Hill and Ladbrokes offer their services. But for the next tier of company, Paddy Power and Unibet are neck in neck in fighting for some of the smaller sponsorship deals.

The rub on the current announcement comes from the fact that Paddy Power and Liverpool FC have worked together in the past but Liverpool FC switched allegiance over to Unibet for two seasons ago. Apparently though either the Liverpool FC bettors preferred the online casino betting services provided by Paddy Power and as such the two company are back in action together.

The new season of football is approaching and the online casino gamblers and bettors will have access to all of the upgrades and special technologies that Paddy Power has added in the past two years. The Customer Acquisitions Manager for Paddy Power, Matt Cunliffe, commented on the new sponsorship deal ““We’re delighted to be working with Liverpool again. The partnership was as successful commercially as Liverpool were on the pitch when we last worked with the club.” The new season should kick off to a great start with this partnership deal in place.
