Better Tracking at Online Casinos

The UK Gambling Commission is looking for ways to better track the online casinos for compliance and licensing requirements – and the company has found a solution within the Atos Origin Siebel 8.0 software. The UK gambling industry is one of the safest on the planet thanks to the strict regulations and controls in place to monitor the internet gambling industry and protect internet gamblers within the market. UK licensed online casinos have to pass stringent requirements and are mandated to consistently maintain minimum standards as a prerequisite to operating in the UK market. The only problem though has been in tracking all of the internet casinos for compliance – that’s where the new software will come in handy.

Atos Origin has developed a very unique software product in its Seibel 8.0 software – the software seems almost tailored to meet the complex needs and requirements of the UK Gambling Commission. According to the recent announcement of the deal, the software will enable the Commission to access real time statistics and information about all of the currently UK licensed online casinos. The Director of Corporate Services for the Commission, Bill Butler, elaborated on why the Commission chose Atos Origin software. He notes, “Following a competitive process, we selected Atos Origin because it demonstrated that it understands our needs and has the capability and experience to deliver.”

The UK Gambling Commission is responsible for overseeing all forms of gambling in the UK – not just the online casinos. This means that bingo, lottery, land and online betting, gaming machines, arcades, and more will all be regulated through this new software.
