Tokwiro Releases Investigation Report
An end just might be in sight for the ongoing investigations related to the
Ultimate Bet cheating scandal. Tokwiro Enterprises, the parent company for
Ultimate Bet, announced that the company’s final in-house investigation report
has been handed over the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. The Ultimate Bet online
casino poker gambling site is only now recovering from the bad publicity and ill
will that was focused on the company in the wake of the cheating scandal’s
revelation. Tokwiro has spent the past seven months not only conducting the
detailed investigation into how the scam was pulled off so effectively, but also
revising policies and putting new software in place to better protect online
casino poker gamblers when they gamble at either Ultimate Bet or its sister
site, Absolute Poker.
What’s interesting in Tokwiro’s reports up to this point, and in fact including
this report is the fact that the company is very reluctant to offer any real
specific and detailed information to the public and to the international online
casino poker gambling industry as a whole. The company did not release the final
report to the public at all and instead issued some small details in Tokwiro’s
official statement on the issue. The public statement noted that the number of
individuals originally found guilty of involvement in the cheating scandal
remains the same – the only changes occurred in the number of profiles and user
accounts that were used by those individuals to pull off the online casino poker
fraud.
Tokwiro’s COO, Paul Leggett, elaborated on where the online casinos (Absolute
Poker and Ultimate Bet) were headed from this point, "Tokwiro is aggressively
pursuing legal avenues of redress in order to protect and compensate our players
and the business. Rest assured that we will release more information to the
poker community and to the public at large as we enforce our and our players'
rights.” The Kahnawake Gaming Commission will now review the final report from
Tokwiro on the issue and there is no telling what actions and fines the
Commission may make against Tokwiro for this major infraction.
