Surpassing the U.S. Market
The Chinese internet market has experienced one of the nations largest surges in
the history of gambling Chinese internet users have surpassed the number of
Americans surfing the net. China has a restricted communist regime in place,
but despite the restrictions on internet use including a ban on online casino
gambling, the government is encouraging the Chinese market to take advantage of
the Internet in terms of business uses. The key to the Chinese market is the
fact that the nation has already surpassed the U.S. and the Chinese market is
far from fully saturated, as opposed to the U.S. market, which is reaching full
saturation.
Internet gambling is very popular all over the world, but the Chinese government
still has some very strict restrictions and regulations in place to block the
online casinos from reaching the Chinese market. Despite the restrictions though
against internet gambling, the exploding Chinese Internet market is a great sign
for the online casino market. The Asian-Pacific region is really beginning to
warm up to the possibilities that lie within a globally connected population
the first step toward this end is to get computer internet use up throughout
this region on the world.
The China Internet Information Centre announced last week that 253 million
Chinese citizens use the internet this is significantly more than 223.1
million U.S. online users. Also interesting was the report that the 253 million
only represents a 19.1 percent saturation of the Chinese market. In contrast,
the U.S. figure represents that the U.S. Internet market is at 71 percent
saturation. |
