Network Changes for Online Casino: 2
The new Cereus Poker Network will reportedly debut at number three in the
international poker industry according to Leggett, but others in the online
casino poker gambling industry have questioned the veracity of this statement.
According to calculations, with Absolute and Ultimate Bet’s active poker players
combined this total still only comes in at half of the active players on the
iPoker Network. There are a handful of online casinos and poker sites that will
arguably continue to hold the top spots in terms of active poker players. So,
Leggett’s claims may be a bit exaggerated, the new Cereus Poker Network will
most likely debut in the top ten of poker networks but the more established
networks will likely retain their spot.
Cereus Poker’s direct competition includes the other top five poker networks in
the world: Poker Stars, Full Tilt, iPoker, Party Poker and Everest Poker. Once
the new brand is fully launched and established there is even speculation that
it will remain lower in the charts for a period of time until the Cereus Network
is able to fully distance itself from the very serious online casino poker
cheating scandals that have rocked the poker industry.
With less than a year between Absolute Poker’s first announcement of a cheating
and the launch of a newly branded poker gambling network, some online casino
poker players speculate that the new Cereus Network and rebranding efforts are a
way to escape the controversy still surrounding Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet.
And though the cheating scandals have undoubtedly had an affect on the two
online poker gambling sites the sites continue to boast a large number of daily
active poker players and a large field of poker entrants into the sites’ weekly
tournaments. |
