Online Casino Players Demanding Identification
There is no room for social justice in the case of the two cheating scandals at
Tokwiro Enterprises two online casino poker gambling brands. Tokwiro’s two poker
sites, Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker were involved in separate and serious
cheating scandals over the past year. And while neither the two online casinos
nor the parent companies came out on the other side without some hefty fines and
serious backlash, some of the gamblers were hoping for their own brand of
punishment – social justice. Tokwiro and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission have
chosen to seal the names of the perpetrators from public knowledge. This means
that there is simply no way for internet poker gamblers to identify those
involved in the case.
There is no clear indication as to why neither of the cheating scandals have
yielded any names – the online casino poker gamblers have loudly demanded public
identification, but even in last week’s statement released by Tokwiro
Enterprises there was no mention of who was involved nor what sort of legal
action they were given as a result of the massive fraudulent activity. There is
a sense of unease in the online casino gambling industry as a result - those
affected and even just the industry as a whole feels they have a right to know
the individual and the punishment they received – the process is altogether just
not transparent enough to build confidence in Tokwiro and the Gaming
Commission’s policies.
The entire investigation process was quite complex and the companies involved
have had their hands full sorting through the millions of online casino poker
hands potentially affected by the perpetrators.
