Launching in the Fall
Carlyle Gaming and Entertainment has announced the launch of a new game that has
the potential to take the online casino gambling industry by storm. The new game
is a non-chance version of poker. Sound strange? This new game is due to launch
in the fall and is remarkably similar to traditional Texas Hold’em poker – but
with a slight twist that takes out the element of chance to the game and firmly
puts the poker game into the realm of skill based gaming. The new game appears
to be designed with the U.S. regulations against offshore and foreign online
casinos in mind. The U.S. allows forms on skill based gaming and even has some
carve-outs for internet horse-race betting; anything that falls into the gray
area of foreign internet gambling is forbidden though.
Carlyle Gaming is based out of Bulgaria and is actually fairly new to the online
casino gaming development industry. Carlyle has not yet launched its poker
gaming product to any markets but according to the latest information, the
company plans a third quarter launch for the PokerTwin game – specifically
lauching for the U.S. gaming market that may be interested in gambling at the
online casinos but has zero or limited access to these types of sites.
PokerTwin though eliminates the chance element of poker which comes with the
“luck of the draw element to land and online casino poker. The format of the
game puts two TwinPoker players at separate players yet deals the players the
same exact hand. Because the hands are identical, the outcome is based off of
the skill of each of the gamers and thus not a form of gambling. |
