New E-Wallet Option: 1
Neteller gained international attention just two years ago when the United
States passed the controversial ban on offshore online casinos and the majority
of the e-payment processers and the internet gambling companies left the U.S.
market. Neteller though ran into some complications because the company
continued to offer US gamblers payment processing for internet gambling
activities – a blatant violation of the UIGEA gambling ban. The US government
retaliated and used Neteller to basically set an example. In the end the company
paid more than 136 million in fines and is now very cautious to block all
transactions between US gamblers and offshore online casino gambling sites. So
although the US gamblers will not benefit from the new payment processing
solutions form Neteller, the company has announced a new pre-paid credit card
service.
Neteller is processes transactions between online businesses and consumers,
giving the e-commerce users the ability to safely use online casinos and other
sites that may have more questionable reputations. Neteller is still in the
recovery process after the huge hit on the company’s business after exiting the
US market. Additionally, the international online casino payment processing
sector has far more competition and Neteller is in the business now of
developing new technologies that will appeal to the consumers and also keep up
with what is offered through competitors.
Neteller has secured a partnership deal with TransSend Payment Services and will
now offer all of its current users the option of a prepaid MasterCard.
MasterCard is the second largest credit card company in the world and online
casino gamblers will now benefit from the security of the MasterCard name as
well as the functionality of Neteller’s services and existing agreements with
online casinos and other companies. |
