Controversial Web Site Closure
Online casino gamblers are alarmed over the closing of the Aspiritus Gaming Web
site that shut down just last week. Aspiritus Gaming opened the internet
gambling site on the Playtech platform in March and retained Inside Gaming to
manage the site. Just a couple of months later and the agreement has turned a
bit nasty and Aspiritus is no longer up and running. Although there is a bit of
“he said, she said” going on between the two companies the real question comes
down to account balances for many in the industry. The online casinos are only
as safe as are their player guarantees and in this case it is a bit questionable
whether or not the Aspiritus Gaming company will pony up all of the remaining
player account balances.
As this entire situation continues to take center stage in the online casino
gambling industry news, Inside Gaming is taking all possible steps to protect
its reputation in the industry along with provide as much information as
possible to the concerned internet gamblers. The only company not offering
specific and detailed information is Aspiritus; instead, the company is pointing
fingers and alleging that Inside Gaming breached its contract and that the
company’s actions have forced Aspiritus out of business.
Inside countered those public sentiments from the online casino gambling company
with the real story – or at least their side of the argument. While there is an
entire back story explanation to the situation provided by Inside gaming, the
company’s statement concluded with this: “In order to protect their business and
to assist Aspiritus in managing the expectations of their players, Inside Gaming
made a respectable offer to resolve the matter with Aspiritus and to change the
terms of the contract further in their favour but this was rejected point blank
by Aspiritus.”
While this is only one side of the story, Aspiritus is more reticent to come
forward and offer more than accusations. Gamblers at the online casinos on the
Playtech network, and particularly gamblers with accounts at the site are
increasingly concerned that there is no contact information for the company
online, in statements, or anywhere accessible. |
