Assurance on Bodog's Safety
Controversy in the U.S. market concerning online casino gambling has caused the
U.S. media to over exaggerate and misrepresent some information concerning
internet gambling companies and payment processing situations. Bodog
Entertainment is a favorite topic for the media because of the antics of Bodog’s
founder and former CEO. Now though, the company is operated by the Morris Mohawk
Gaming Group and based out of Canada. While the company still operates online
casino poker operations in the U.S. market, the Mohawk group is much tamer in
its interactions with the media – at least normally.
The CEO at the Mohawk Gaming Group, Alwyn Morris, formally released a statement
for the Bodog online casino poker gambling group addressing player concerns
about the safety of their accounts and transactions. The U.S. government has
come down hard on offshore online casinos and payment processors that continue
to operate in the U.S. internet gambling market, and according to Morris the
mainstream media has painted a false picture of Bodog’s payment processing
systems.
Morris’ formal statement on the issue addresses some of the misconceptions that
the media has perpetuated including the implication that some of Bodog’s payment
processing companies have had player funds seized on account of illegal online
casino gambling actions. Morris though asserted that “Customer deposits are safe
and every player has and will always be paid.” Bodog is one of the major online
casino poker gambling brands that continues to operate in the U.S. market
despite restrictions and the UIGEA. The company has a very large player base and
a growing presence in the European online gambling industry as well. |
