Americans Accessing the Online Casinos

Recent news from Ladbrokes indicates that some U.S. internet gamblers will now have access to games from Ladbrokes. The new and limited move into the U.S. market is due to evidence that there are some U.S. states that provide a more limited risk for the online casinos offering gambling services – Ladbrokes has amended registration policies to include gamblers from these states. Because of the continued implementation and attempted enforcement of the UIGEA, Ladbrokes has no current plans to fully launch into the U.S. online casino gambling industry. Part of the switch over is due to Ladbrokes’ move onto the Microgaming Poker Network.

Ladbrokes is a UK based land and online casino gambling group that has really begun to step up the company’s efforts in the internet gambling industry. Ladbrokes is one of the more popular land bookmakers in the UK with betting shops all over; the move into online casinos and internet poker is in response to the currently booming UK gambling market. Though Ladbrokes has previously offered internet poker gambling to players, the move to the Microgaming Poker Network will give the poker site partnership and linking opportunities with more than 40 other online casinos.

The Managing Director at Ladbrokes, John O’Reilly, announced that the company would no longer operate as a standalone online casino poker gambling site in conjunction with the announcement that the company is also offering limited gambling opportunities to U.S. players. O’Reilly elaborated on the decision to move into the U.S. online gambling market, "We have evaluated the legal situation and are happy with our position.”
