Winning Online Casino Licenses in Spain

The various regions of Spain are beginning to open up to new gambling opportunities – everything from betting, to the lottery, to even online casinos and mobile gambling. Spain has invested each of the regions with the power to decide how and when to deal with land and internet gambling issues, and as such several regions are really beginning to open up the market to new forms of gambling. According to recent reports from both William Hill land and online casinos betting group and the Basque region of Spain, Will Hill has exclusive rights to operate the region’s lottery system. Other contenders for the exclusive license include popular names in the land and online casino gambling industry such as Intralot and Ladbrokes among others. Will Hill own out over these competitors for the exclusive license and not Intralot and others will have the ability to apply for licenses to operate land betting in other regions of Spain.

Intralot in fact already has a license to operate land betting in Madrid – the only catch is that the Madrid market is far from exclusive and Intralot will face competition from Will Hill and other companies planning to open betting shops in the Madrid.
