Unnamed Company Approached Gaming VC
Takeovers and acquisitions are becoming increasingly prominent in the online
casinos gambling industry as the European gambling market booms and some of the
larger companies are looking to take up more niche gambling companies and offer
their players increased variety. Some companies have announced that partnerships
and acquisitions are a main part of this year’s company focus (such as 888 which
is intensely focused on expansion through partnerships and acquisitions) but
other companies are surprisingly up for a takeover. Just last week Gaming VC
Holdings SA, an online casinos gambling group, announced that the company has
been approached by an unnamed company looking to acquire all of Gaming VC’s
holdings, shares, etc.
The statement from the non-executive Chairman of Gaming VC, Adrian Smith, noted
only the most basic information in a brief statement. According to Smith’s
statement, Gaming VC may or may not receive an offer for the company and all of
its online casinos gaming, betting, and poker holdings. But that was really the
extent of the information, there is no indication of which company approached
Gaming VC.
Gaming VC’s Board of Directors will be responsible for considering the company
interested in a takeover, and once the Board has considered any offers, the
online casinos gambling group will then release more information. Right now
though, that’s about it on the information until a further press statement is
issued.
Online casinos owned and operated by Gaming VC include: Casino Club, Casino Club
Poker, Betaland and Poker Kings. These sites would all be included in any
takeover deal. |
