Land Gambling in Taiwan
The incoming Taiwanese president has a much more favorable attitude toward land
and perhaps online casinos gambling in light of recent statements that indicate
plans to allow land gambling licensing. Ma Ying-jeou is the Taiwan
president-elect and will take office in late May. At that point it seems that
Taiwan very well could become much more involved in the land casinos gambling
industry through new legislation that will encourage land gambling resorts on
the offshore islands – this will be a stark contrast to the current restrictions
related to land and online casinos gambling activities.
The Asian land and online casinos gambling industry is slowly developing and
industry analysts predict that the other Asian regions will begin to
increasingly open up legislation to encourage land gambling. Then at that point
it is only a matter of time before the online casinos gambling industry is
embraced and encouraged.
At this point though, it is a step in the right direction for both the Asian
land and online casinos gambling industries that Ying-jeou is even considering
allowing offshore gambling resorts. There is still a chance that the Taiwan
parliament will not pass the necessary amendments that would open up the land
gambling industry, but many speculate that the new legislation will pass because
of increasing efforts to bring more tourism to the region. Specifically, the new
legislation would affect Penghu County and would bolster the tourism and traffic
between Taiwan and China. The newly proposed legislation will be a big step for
the Taiwan in regards to establishing a firm connection to the mainland. |
