Dispute Over Internet Poker Site
Though the company is unidentified at this point, sources inside the industry
have leaked information that Playsafe Holdings AS is part of a dispute that
involves online casino poker player’s monies, and rake money. Playsafe is a
fairly well-known name in the internet poker industry because of the company’s
moderately successful Action Poker Network. The company in question was acquired
by Playsafe, but the acquired company was not interested in leaving its previous
online casino poker network. This is where it get a little tricky.
The acquired company licensed through Playsafe claims that Playsafe continued to
operate the online casino poker site even after the licensee officially closed
down operations. The allegations then go so far as to suggest that Playsafe then
blocked the licensee from accessing the online casinos poker site’s
administration panel.
Now according to the licensing company, Action Poker Network, a spokesperson
commented, “We are working on getting payments resolved." But the licensee seems
to be a little unsure about the veracity of that statement as players are still
awaiting funds and the licensee is still unable to fully switch the online
casino poker site in question over to another poker network.
The whole issue is still under wraps in the media though insiders at the online
casino and poker information portal Point-Spreads broke the story and has
focused on following up as well.
