Tournament Draws in Players

Land-based or at the online casinos, a quality poker tournament is a fantastic way to attract new players. Just last month Mansion gambling hosted a highly successful internet poker tournament as a grand opening of sorts. Though the poker division of Mansion is not new, the division has found a new home at the Ongame Network. The first online casino tournament on the new network was well-received and brought a new group of players to Mansion.

Mansion is based out of Gibraltar and is quickly growing in both the online casino and internet poker sectors of the industry. The poker division’s change is expected as a positive move and will generate new interest in the tournaments and gaming options offered through Mansion.

October’s major tournament was essentially a month long even taking into account all of the satellite and qualifying tournaments. Many online casinos poker players were pleased that Mansion chose to run the event as a “Heat Tournament” – this structure in growing within the internet poker industry because of it’s similarity to popular land-based poker tournaments such as the World Series of Poker.

And beyond the draw of a slow “heat tournament,” a large prize pool, such as the 300,000 offered is sure to attract players interested in trying out new online casino poker sites without a large amount of risk. Players could participate in the tournament for as little as $1 buy-ins if they participated in Mansion’s many satellite events. Otherwise, the buy-in was actually much higher, a direct buy-in for the Grand Tournament set players back $1000.

The event was a hit for all of the internet poker players participating and succeeded in drawing in a diverse group of tournament players to play at Mansion now that it has switched to the Ongame Network.
