Mobile Betting for the U.S.
Mobile gaming is one of the fastest growing sectors of online casino gambling in
the European market, and now it looks as though two states in the U.S. are
planning on using this new technology to increase betting and gambling within
the state. Sona Mobile is taking a page out of the books of the several
successful mobile gaming providers offering online casinos, games, poker, and
other associated services. But here in the U.S., the company has adapted the
offerings to comply with government regulations against internet gambling.
Online casinos are no longer a prominent part of the gambling industry, but that
doesn’t mean that the internet will no longer play a part in the world of
gambling and betting. On the contrary, both New York and Nevada companies have
chosen to use Sona Mobile to enhance betting and gambling options offered to
players.
The recent U.S. regulations specifically allow horse race betting – the New York
Racing Association has announced that Sona Mobile will power the Associations
newest decision to expand betting onto the internet. Then, in similarly great
news for Sona, they are one of the few companies to pass the strict regulations
of the Nevada Gaming commission and will soon be offering on-premises mobile
gambling for many Nevada casinos. The company does not have carte blanche
approval within Nevada though, and must gain approval before any new products
are launched.
Because of the shift away from online casinos, the Sona Gaming Platform was
developed to specifically corner the market on the types of betting that the
U.S. does allow. The Sona platform will work with a wide range of mobile and
portable devices including: mobile phones, PDAs, and both tablet and fixed
terminal devices. Additionally, the Sona System allows the casinos an
unprecedented ability to track the movement, and player activity while using
Sona. Considering that online casinos will not be offered in the U.S. in the
near future, Sona Mobile may be the closest way to experience internet betting
and gambling.
