More Gaming in Aland

Boss Media is a online casino and poker gaming network based out of Sweden. The key to Boss Media is forming strategic partnerships—and the latest partnership agreement was just recently announced with the Finnish online casino and poker gambling company, Ålands Penningautomatförening, or PAF for short. PAF has announced that they will be using Boss Media to form poker products usable by their player-base.

The PAF association is imbued with the authority of the Provincial Åland Government to control all online casinos, and online gambling operations within the island of Åland. The association is governed by public law and also has authority over on-island gambling, and on board ships. Central to the associations purpose is to use revenue and funds raised for public benefit in the country. Notably, Åland is an independent province of Finland.

Center to the partnership is a downloadable poker software product available in five languages. It is anticipated that this new product will debut toward the end of 2007. The Web-based product currently in development will be offered though PAF in either Swedish, Finnish, English, German, or Spanish. Boss’s partnership network, IPN, will link with the shared web-product, and players can login to play through their PAF accounts.

Stefan Petersson is the Director of PAF, and he commented on their strategic partnership and the benefits to both online casino and gambling companies. “We are pleased to be able to initiate cooperation with Boss Media. Our strength is being able to arrange poker tournaments on ships and on Aland, in which qualifying is often through satellite tournaments with small stakes via our gaming service on the Internet. At last week's large tournament "PAF Poker Challenge" in Mariehamn, more than half the players had qualified via the Internet. Through the cooperation with Boss Media, we hope to reach new segments and create more entertainment for our players.”

The President of Boss Media also had positive comments about the recent partnership, “Participating in satellite tournaments via Internet to qualify for live poker tournaments has become a huge success among poker players. With PAF's unique gaming operator experience and the possibilities to arrange attractive tournament offerings, we are convinced that together we will attract new players on the international gaming markets.”
