Approval for Online Casino Testing Labs?
The UK Commission has now officially approved a land-based gambling gaming
laboratory. This is the first of its kind to actually gain approval and
blessings from the Commission and now some are speculating that it is only
time now until either Gaming Laboratories international (GLI) moves into game
testing for the online casino industry, or some other company decides to move
into this niche market and fill an opening that currently has no real
competition.
In the online casino gambling industry, the games definitely go through an
approval process, but for the most part, the actual internet gamblers are the
ones who report back to the gaming companies any glitches. Conversely, not until
a game has been released to the online casino gambling players can the software
providers truly be sure that the games are well-received and completely
glitch-free.
That is not the case though outside of the online casino industry, in fact, game
testing is a fairly newer practice, so GLI is proud to be one of the largest
testing groups that employs hundreds of testers and clerics in nine locations
spread throughout the United States and Italy, Australia, the Netherlands, and
the UK. And these are only the countries that have GLI offices, the company
actually test land-based gaming venues all across the world.
GLI not only tests the land-based games, but offers feedback to the gambling
companies this is something that will surely come in handy when its equivalent
is fully realized in the online casino gambling industry. Just recently the
company has really begun to focus on the UK market.
Says Ian Huges, a representative for the company, GLI is committed to working
closely with and lending our expertise to the Gambling Commission and suppliers
well into the future. The testing group is also very proud of the fact that it
is one of the first to fill this niche in the UK. He continues, We have been
preparing for the UK market for the last twelve months and are pleased to be the
first test house to be provisionally approved by the Gambling Commission.
