Financial Glitch at Boss Media Casino
Thanks to a banking error at the WebDollar e-wallet, Turkish online casino
players at Boss Media Casino sites were able to fraud the system of $90,000 on
each deposit to the player’s account. Basically, incorrect currency conversions
are responsible for the error at WebDollar, but that excuse will not help the
online casinos players who purposefully took advantage of the situation to the
tune of hundreds of thousands over a period of time.
Boss Media did not immediately detect the problem and players were able to use
the stolen funds to gamble at the online casino until the glitch was discovered
and Turkish accounts were frozen at Boss Media online casinos. WebDollar is
taking responsibility for the error that they have still not precisely
pinpointed but are suggesting occurred at acquiring back.
WebDollar though is taking the online casinos player fraudulent activity
seriously and has sent out emails to the Turkish players informing them that the
money will be recovered in the coming months or WebDollar will prosecute those
who knowingly took advantage of the error.
The email to players was succinct and threatened future legal action for
non-compliance. The email stated, “…transactions you conducted with us in the
currency Turkish Lire [were] incorrectly debited from your bank account. This
means that we have debited your bank account with incorrect amounts and that you
now owe us funds. In the attached document you will find the incorrect debited
orders. It is also obvious that you have been aware of and [have been] abusing
the system and we now request you to settle this debt to us, or we are forced to
take legal actions against you.”
But that does not fully cover the blatant pressure the site is putting on
players, the email continues to address followup actions should online casinos
players fail to pay, “....we will involve financial institutions/banks, contact
the local police and take this case to court. Our legal firm has already been in
contact with their Turkish partner firm and it is important that this case be
solved as soon as possible."
Boss Media has yet to publicly comment on the problem, and it seems that
WebDollar is taking primary responsibility to collect the missing online casino
funds.
