Expansions for French Site
A possible acquisition at Betclick could be just what the online casinos betting
company needs to revamp the site and expand into new markets. UK media recently
reported that Betclick and the Mangas Capital investment are in acquisition
talks. Betclick is fairly established in the industry and is targeted at the
French betting market although the company’s licensing would easily allow for an
expanded market. France was in the same situation as Germany earlier this year
in terms of negotiations with the European Commission about exclusionary online
casino practices, but those issues will not stop Betclick from pursuing
alternative markets to expand beyond the current French based market.
Betclick is a UK based online casino betting site, licensed in both Malta and
the UK, but currently operating primarily for the French market. Nicolas Béraud
launched the site in 2005, and the company has only continued to grow and
acquire prominent endorsement deals in the three short years it has operated.
And where Betclick is a smaller company focused on one main market at this time,
Mangus Capital is involved in large scale investments – and by all media
accounts the company has its sites set on expanding and revamping Betclick.
Mangus is well known in multiple industries, beyond just the online casinos
industry, for savvy business practices and success in multiple previous business
endeavors. The head of Mangus, Stephane Courbit, is highly experienced in the
investment side of business and reportedly has more than a billion dollars in
accessible funds.
So basically, for Betclick it means that an acquisition from Mangus would
completely expand the online casino betting company’s ability to offer internet
gambling services in more UK and foreign markets.
