St Minver's Beginnings
St Minvers is an international company providing third party services to over 96
major companies. Part of the company’s unique offerings include custom tailored
online gambling for online casinos and other Web sites. Though St Minvers is a
fairly new business to enter the online casino and gambling industry, they have
already developed positive relationships with companies like Yahoo! and Virgin
Games.
Since its beginnings in 2003, St Minvers has grown to 110 employees and yearly
profits around £1.7m. The chairman, Gary Shaw co-founded the company with the
idea of offering white-label deals in return for development of online casinos
and internet gambling. Though Shaw’s later bought out his partner to continue to
grow his vision for St Minvers, the company still has surprisingly similar
offerings to what they initially presented to prospective clients.
St Minvers is a company that focuses intently on the managing of online casinos
and gambling, but not in the development end. Their exclusive agreement with
Boss Media provides St Minvers with the software that games they need to run and
manage third party Web sites and online casinos.
One of the more difficult parts of developing the business centered on securing
a gaming license. Leigh Nissim, Managing Director at St. Minver, elaborates on
their efforts to obtain a online gaming license. "These aren't easy things to
get, but we managed to get one of only 14 licences in Gibraltar. This was
essential to getting decent banking which in turn is essential to getting
customers."
As the years continue, St Minvers continues to expand their portfolio of branded
customers. The company has recently moved into Euprope, and they suggested that
in the future St Minvers could start operating online blackjack a the online
casinos.
