Online Casino Site Changes Names
North American Bodog online casino poker players can breathe a sigh of relief
that the domain name changes are over – at least for now. Bodog recently lost
its main domain name, Bodog.com because of patent litigation with 1st
Technology. 1st Technology was awarded the Bodog domain name as a way to recoup
the US $48.6 million dollar default judgment in a patent lawsuit that Bodog
representatives and lawyers never acknowledged. The Bodog founder and CEO,
Calvin Ayre, though, is openly defiant of the United States government, and thus
refuses to cooperate with the multiple U.S. court rulings and blatantly defines
last year’s offshore online casinos ban.
Earlier this month a U.S. enforcement court in Washington granted 1st
Technologies the Bodog domain name. Just weeks ago 1st Technologies chose to
shut down the Bodog.com domain – and though Bodog’s millions of online casino
poker players were temporarily confused, the company was able to react quickly
with a new domain name and a fully functioning site, NewBodog.com. The new site
was up and completely functioning within 24 hours of 1st Technologies decision
to shut down the main Bodog.com online casino poker site.
And now, just when online casino poker players were accustomed to the
NewBodog.com site, Bodog has announced one final domain name change.
BodogLife.com is the new permanent address for the Bodog poker gambling site
according to a press release from the Antiguan based company. NewBodog was used
as a temporary holding place so that Bodog online casino poker players could
still enjoy the Bodog gambling experience while the company ironed out the
details stemming from the patent litigation.
